Commercial Tara Tradelink Pvt. Ltd. is an authorized consignment stockist of OPAL for trading of HDPE, LLDPE, and PP granules. OPAL is one of the largest companies in manufacturing polymers and offers a full range of polymers for almost all common applications. ONGC Petro additions Limited (OPaL), a multibillion joint venture company, was incorporated in 2006. OPaL is promoted by Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) and co-promoted by GAIL and GSPC.
OPaL has set up a grassroots mega Petrochemical complex at Dahej, Gujarat in PCPIR/SEZ (Petroleum, Chemicals, and Petrochemicals Investment Region/Special Economic Zone). The complex’s main Dual Feed Cracker Unit has the capacity to produce 1100 KTPA Ethylene, 400 KTPA Propylene, and the Associated Units consist of a Pyrolysis Gasoline Hydrogenation Unit, Butadiene Extraction Unit, and Benzene Extraction Unit. The Polymer plants of OPaL include 2X360 KTPA of LLDPE/HDPE Swing unit, 1X340 KTPA of Dedicated HDPE, and 1×340 KTPA of PP. The project commenced its production after the inauguration by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in March 2017.
The demand for polymers in India is significant and is expected to further rise with GDP growth. India will continue to experience a deficit in Polyethylene in the foreseeable future. Moreover, this also works as a perfect downstream integration for ONGC, the key promoter who supplies the required feedstock Naphtha from its Hazira, Uran, and Dahej facilities, which is essential to run the plant at full capacity.
